Dholera’s semiconductor ecosystem is set to expand beyond Tata Electronics’ main fabrication facility with plans for a 363-acre vendor park to support companies supplying and servicing the semiconductor industry.
Tata Electronics and Ascendas Firstspace signed an MoU to develop the vendor park as part of a series of semiconductor-sector announcements at SEMICON India 2026.
The development adds another physical component to the growing semiconductor ecosystem in Dholera SIR.
363-Acre Vendor Park Planned for Dholera
The proposed vendor park is intended to provide dedicated space for companies supporting Tata Electronics’ semiconductor fabrication facility.
The announcement formed part of 11 MoUs and five announcements at SEMICON India 2026 covering semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, materials, equipment, design and talent development.
A dedicated vendor facility can support companies involved in areas such as:
- Semiconductor materials
- Manufacturing equipment
- Engineering and maintenance
- Logistics and supply chains
- Facility management
- Packaging and testing
Having suppliers located close to a major fabrication facility can help create a more integrated industrial cluster around the semiconductor project.
Dholera’s Semiconductor Ecosystem Is Expanding
The vendor park follows several recent partnerships connected to Tata Electronics’ Dholera project.
Fujifilm plans approximately ₹800 crore of phased investment in a semiconductor materials plant in Dholera, while Tata Electronics has announced partnerships with companies including Nexperia, Sojitz Corporation, NRS Corporation and Kelington.
These agreements cover manufacturing, semiconductor materials, logistics, infrastructure and technology.
The vendor park therefore represents another layer in an ecosystem developing around the planned fab.
Dholera’s Role in India’s Semiconductor Development
Dholera has emerged as a major location for India’s semiconductor manufacturing ambitions, with Tata Electronics’ planned 300 mm fabrication facility serving as the region’s industrial anchor.
The government has also notified a semiconductor-related Special Economic Zone in Dholera covering approximately 66.166 hectares, further supporting the development of electronics and semiconductor-related activity.
NICDC identifies Dholera SIR as a greenfield industrial smart city under the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor, with semiconductors among its focus sectors.
What to Watch Next
The key developments to monitor include:
- Further details on the 363-acre vendor park
- Companies establishing operations within the park
- Additional semiconductor suppliers entering Dholera
- Progress on Tata Electronics’ fabrication facility
- Expansion of logistics and supporting infrastructure
RWI Perspective
The proposed 363-acre vendor park is significant because it addresses the supplier infrastructure required around a large semiconductor fabrication facility.
With materials companies, technology partners, logistics providers and other suppliers increasingly connecting with Dholera, the region’s semiconductor story is developing beyond a single industrial project.
For those tracking Dholera Smart City Gujarat and Dholera investment, the vendor park is another indicator of the broader industrial ecosystem taking shape within Dholera SIR.
RWI Developers will continue tracking these developments through its Dholera News & Insights platform.
