Dholera’s Industrial Development Expands Beyond the Semiconductor Project

2 min read

Dholera’s industrial development is broadening beyond the semiconductor fabrication facility, with new supplier infrastructure, manufacturing investments, industrial land allotments and renewable-energy projects progressing across Dholera SIR.

The latest developments indicate that activity in the region is increasingly extending into the wider industrial ecosystem surrounding Tata Electronics’ planned semiconductor fab.

363-Acre Vendor Park Planned

Tata Electronics and Ascendas First Space have signed an MoU to develop a 363-acre semiconductor vendor park in Dholera.

Announced during SEMICON India 2026, the park is intended to provide space for companies supplying goods and services to the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.

The development adds another layer to Dholera’s growing industrial base.

Fujifilm Plans ₹800 Crore Investment

The semiconductor supply chain is also attracting new manufacturing investment.

Fujifilm plans approximately ₹800 crore in phased investment to establish a semiconductor materials plant in Dholera. Tata Electronics is expected to be an initial customer, while Fujifilm is also exploring additional supply agreements with Indian semiconductor manufacturers.

The planned facility would add semiconductor materials manufacturing to Dholera’s emerging industrial ecosystem.

Industrial Land and Renewable Energy

Industrial land development is progressing alongside these projects. Government monitoring data recorded 14 industrial plots covering approximately 545 acres as allotted by June 2026, with around 1,043 acres still available for allotment at that stage.

Renewable-energy infrastructure is also expanding, with approximately 300 MW of solar capacity commissioned against a planned 1,000 MW as of June 2026.

Connectivity Developments Continue

Dholera’s industrial expansion is being supported by major connectivity projects.

The Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway is operational, while a ₹124.40 crore interchange with Sardar Patel Ring Road has been tendered. The Sarkhej–Dholera semi-high-speed rail project has also entered the EPC tender stage, with a package estimated at ₹18,901.68 crore.

Dholera International Airport is meanwhile progressing toward its operational phase.

What to Watch Next

Key developments include:

  • Progress on Tata Electronics’ semiconductor fab
  • Development of the 363-acre vendor park
  • Fujifilm’s semiconductor materials facility
  • New industrial land allotments
  • Further manufacturing investments
  • Airport, road and rail infrastructure milestones

RWI Perspective

Dholera’s industrial story is increasingly extending beyond its flagship semiconductor project.

The emergence of supplier infrastructure, materials manufacturing, industrial land development, renewable energy and multimodal connectivity points to a broader ecosystem taking shape across Dholera SIR.

For those following Dholera Smart City Gujarat and Dholera investment, the next phase will be defined by how quickly these announced projects move into construction and implementation.

RWI Developers will continue tracking verified industrial and infrastructure developments across Dholera through its News & Insights platform.
